And I thought it was a stretch to tie up the story with the story of Griffiths. The book did explain an epic struggle in American history that I've never heard about.

The era beginning with the turn of the century lasting into the Great Depression were fast moving times, populated with vivid characters. The Industrial Revolution brought the Barons of unimaginable wealth, who made their money on the backs of low priced labor.
