This is an entertaining read, with good enough writing to keep me reading it for two days straight, but with a few shortcomings that I couldn't overlook. The story is pretty straightforward as we're being introduced to John's demons from the very beginning; no time is wasted in setting up the context of John's past, but we are instead offered explanations along the way, which works for maintaining suspense.
